I bought a Huber Manufacturing Corp. Threshermans Journal on ebay because it was a promotional give away about the same time as my Huber L was produced. It was full of entries from 1938 as to how much grain they thrashed and for who and how much they charged. The real treat of the book though was an entry on the back of the August 16 page and it goes like this:

“Ed Ferrall horse got his tail in a belt and lost part of it. Bent fan shaft and cylinder shaft on left side. Broke belt reel and shaker belt which took a whole day to get it in running order. Arm on blower fan broke same day. Was off about two hours.”

Thought you all might enjoy a day in the life of a Thresherman.
