A couple of years ago I used that photograph on a Media Studies examination with a question about how the makers of the product showed a good understanding of their intended users.

Most of my late-teens students thought the picture was a hoot and answered accordingly, but one guy (a little shy, I guess) was deeply offended by my choice of graphic. You just never know.

A bachelor friend got a cute little wall hanging with a little kid at home plate with a bat, and the inscription, "Those with short bats should crowd the plate". He got it as a gift from another friend's wife who, up to that point, we had all thought was pretty genteel. . .
