I picked up a small skid type fuel tank I thought I`d put on this end of the farm to save some running back and forth to the other tank and get rid of the 5 gal. cans . It`s 36" long and 30" across the end , about how much fuel will it hold .

Is it cylindrical or rectangular? Rectangle is about 140 gallons, cylinder about 110.

Sounds like an old saddle tank off a truck. There might even be a UL tag on the tank, stating the capacity. I would guess the capacity between 100-125 gallons... Can't be bothered doing the math. All you need to know is that it's expensive to fill.

Hey TGIN, Need 3rd diminsion. Need lengthx widthx higth or deepth. In feet. Currently have 36 in & 30 in. So its 3ft x2.5ft. Add 3rd diminsion In feet gives you cu.feet. There are 7.48 gallons to a cu. foot. Quistions?

The formula for calculating volume (in this case using inches) is [radius squared x pi (3.1416)] x length which gives the result in cubic inches. A gallon is 231 cubic inches so your tank has a maximum capacity of 110 gallons.

Volume in gallons = cu inches divided by 231. Cu inches = Area (inches) x length. Area of end = pi r squared, or 3.14 x (15 squared). Do the math- I'm gonna plant corn!

In the rain? Coming down in sheets here for the time being. Sweet corn is up about an inch and this rain should keep her going.

Did a couple small patches, had a bit of drizzle towards the end. Lots of lightening E and S. Decided to wait til tomorrow before FC more. Blessed with 3+ inches 10 days ago, still tough to get through.
