I have an old MM disk that I need to replace some of the disks on. I need 16 inck blades that aren't broken. New they are $15.13 so if you have any general ideas on where to look for some good used ones any ideas would be appreciated.

How many do you need & what size shaft? We take the blades off the hippers when they get below 17" or so, still have plenty of life in them for your application. I'd sell them for $2.00 each, & you pay the frt.

Bout the only way you will get good used blades is to buy another used disc.

Unless your lucky enough to find someone who replaced all the blades on a disc and there are a few useable ones in the takeoffs.

Differant models have differant size holes and blade sizes also,so finding the right ones may be tough.

My 2 cents Gary

Besides, all the work you go through to change blades, why you would want to replace with used ones is passed my thinking.

A wore down 18" blade to 16" from a machinery yard at $4.00 a blade is a lot better than the 15+$ for a new one when you are short of money and they will last just as long, Better if you can aford it to put all new 18" on but that is a lot of money and for some jobs the 16" will do the job.

I suppose it would depend on how many you break as opposed to wear out. I generally save the old blades for spares, throw them in a corner, and when they're needed, they're there. I'm putting a new set on now, and I'll save the old ones... or what's left of them. Otherwise, they're worth about 80 bucks a ton to me. If you're using a disc a lot, then new blades are a good investment in time saved. If you're not using it a lot, then mabey used will do.
