I was a pallbearer at the funeral for a family freind/hired man yesterday. He had worked for my dad, then me for a total of 34 straight years. He had a wonderful sense of humor and always lightened things up when he was around. Every morning he would pull up in his battered old pickup and jump out with a big grin. There would always be something to laugh heartily at within the first minute or two. He had cut hay with a JD 510 and an IH balanced head mower since he started with us and could cover more ground in one day than anyone else I know. He will be sorely missed.

John

Now, it's your job to pass along to others what he taught you, he now lives through you...Yes it is a sad day, but here is your chance to honor him!

Sorry for your loss.Sounds like you and him had a great working relationship and by him having that smile every morning it must say he enjoyed working for you.Just as much as you enjoyed him working for you.He will always be in your heart and memories so he isnt really gone!

Great people never really pass away. They live on in all those they touched. Even here on this thread today.
The ones we miss most are the ones we should try to emulate.

My condolences. As you climb up onto...from time to time, remember him and what he used to do and it"ll bring a smile to your face. Maybe even make your ear ring.

Mark

Yes John,it's sad to say that it's hard to find good help today.I'm sure you'll have many thoughts of him for a long time! As the saying goes:the lord always takes the best first. My prayers are with you and his family. Jim in N M
