im not sure the best place for this but, i happened to find a locl wood 2 row potato digger. i know nothing about this bahemoth other than the serial # being 288 and the model# sp-2-r , id like to find info on this thing, its very interesting and i hope to have pics soon. the tag says lockwood graders gering nebraska. thanks for the help ,

cant really help on your model# or serial# search but I can tell you that you can still get rollers and chains for it if you are planing to use it for digging spuds. Lockwood was bought out by Crary Co just a couple of years ago and they still build harvesters under the Lockwood name, If I remember right they moved the plant to Fargo ND or somewhere near there. anymore a two row machine is considered to be a small one since most of the harvesters being built now are four row machines which require anywhere from 150 to 200 HP tractors to run them, a two row could be run on as low as 40 or 50 HP if it doesnt have a blower on it. if it has a blower you will need about another 30 HP just to run that. the blower helps to remove the vines by creating a high velocity wind out the back of the machine to blow the vines off the devineing chain
