I just took delivery on a 584 with a leaky cylinder on the FEL (not an International FEL) apparently leaked enough that now I can't raise the bucket at all. I have a mower on the back, raises and lowers fine, back brake works, so I assume that this is a two part hydraulic system? Can't find where to add fluid. I've ordered a manual but it won't get here for a week or so---can anyone help? Thanks!

Hi Michael, it have a lever on the left side, fastened to the left fender,it have a small idiot light on the dash. Fill the oil behind the seat, check with the engine running. It have a filter for the hydrolic oil, under the left foot rest, not a bad idea to change it. Be carefull to replace the strainer correcly, when you change the filter. The right pedal is fo the differential lock. Bernard le mécano Québec Canada

on my 885 there is only one hydraulic / transmission reservoir. You check the level with the dipstick on the platform by your feet. The manual says to run the tractor for 5 min and then shut it off and immediately check the oil with the dipstick. You fill the reservoir at the back of the tractor. There is a large pipe plug around the top link of the 3ph. I think the 584 is the same.

Thanks! Now, forgive my ignorance---I'm reading a lot about parking brake problems on this tractor. Is that the pedal on the right near the seat, and if so, where's the release?

Parking brake is by left calf. Oil added to rear plug behind seat. When ours got low the loader died first, then the power steering immediatly after.

Ours was terrible for going dry on a slight downhill so we used to overfill it when working in the woods.
