Somebody left one of those in front of my antique shop the other night. Guess they thought they would save gas money, rather than taking it to the dump. Nobody has been around to see what I'd offer ("nuttin...maybe less"), so I guess I've got one also.
If any of you would like it, feel free to take it home with you...no charge.

The one item is called a fresno,it is pulled with horses to move dirt.it has a handle at the back to control itas you walk behind. lift up and it goes over dumping the dirt.I remember helping dad use this and pulled it with a W6 McCormick, and if you didnt let go of the handle you would be air born.

You are right!! A Fresno is what we called them.
Somewhat dangerous to use, but I have seen a lot of dirt moved with them.

bo, we always a call it a fresnel, depends on where you are from, I've also heard it called a slip.

It was horse drawn, I moved a lot of dirt with one of them back brakers and single horse. Should be a long steel rod that is used to control how much dirt you load and used to roll it over when you get where you want the dirt moved to.

I still have one laying around here some place that belonged to my uncle. Hauled it to my place when he sold his farm.
