I decided to take friday off from work, (after all, it WAS my spring break from school!!) I really got a lot of stuff done this weekend!!.

On Friday I cleaned up a bunch of scrap around the farm, 2 front ends off a rex and H&S chopper box as well as a bunch of old pipe and the old stantions we ripped out of the barn(last years project) and replaced with new adjustable fronts for different size animals. I got about $120 for my scrap.

Saturday I welded new clips on the gutter racks that were busted off, and fixed up a chain I got out of the scrap yard on Friday (nice HEAVY 1/2" chain, we had one end w/ a hook from the same yard for a few years, friday I found another chunk that makes it a good 20 ft.) I also did a few other odd jobs here & there.

Today, my dad and I started to tackle the shed. We cleared out quite a bit of bad lumber, started a fire in back and just kept feeding it. We also found out why the pile was started- turns out there were a few good peices of wood, some were 4x8 and others were just really nice planks of different sizes and lengths. I also pulled out a few posts for my brother w/ the loader, made him happy enough to help my dad and I out for a while!!

Next weekend we are gonna look at straightening the roof out before it collapses on my nice restored 1600.(I think I'd cry)

We still have LOTS of cleaning to do in the shed, but we made a huge dent and it really feels good. My dad never saw that corner of the shed before, and my mom can hardly remember it either from her youth. It was even knocked down once by a tornado, then pulled back up and added onto where we now have to fix the roof ASAP!!! Heck, it may even get a coat of paint by the time we're done with it;-)

Sounds like you got more done than I did this weekend. I am in the process of a kitchen remodel (wife's idea) I spent most of the weekend inside with that project.I am chomping at the bit to get out to my shop and do some repairing before my busy season of mowing and discing. I have lots of memories of helping my Dad cleaning around the home place. Stan
