Jimmy, the 420 should use 20 or 30 wt motor oil. This is called for in the manual. I have two 420T's, one had hydraulic fluid in the lift when I bought it and it worked real slow and was weak. Changing to motor oil fixed it. Steve

I use the trans/hyd. from SAM's CLUB itis about $22 for 5 gal. The fill plug (1-1/4) under seat cushion. You can also remove the vent cap at the back of cushion and pour in there. Trere is a petcock on the back of diff. housing to the right of 3 point top link, open the cock and add fluid until it runs out the cock. Good luck. Jim
