Howdy guys and gals, Have a problem to run by you all to see if you habe any ideas. I recently got a Dell Computer with Windows XP on it. And well I am having trouble locating where to set my popup blocker, its blocks things such as AOL Istant messenger after is goes and approves login but then it won't let the buddylist come up. I have tried looking around a bit but does anybody know how to temporarily disable the pop up blocker? thanks all and have a good night.

Pat

Just a word to the wise, the computer is good but absolutely do not get a Dell printer they are junk, we had ours just long enough for the warranty to go off and it broke. We don't use it very much, probably 1 package of paper and it broke. We cannot get it fixed we have talked to them, they tell us to call someone to get it fixed, we call them, they tell us that they cannot be fixed. Then the last person we talked to said that when the message appears and they are under waranty they just replace the printer. If you don't believe me go to the Dell web site and go to the chat room. Ours is an A960. I am usually really hardheaded about things like this, but I give up on this one, we are going to buy another printer [any suggestions] and tell everyone we can about this ridiculous situation. If I had it to do over again I wouldn't buy anything that says DELL on it again.

In Internet Explorer try:

Click on Tools in the toolbar
Mouse over Pop Up Blocker
Choose Turn off pop up blocker

(that's how it is in my IE ver 6)

However my PeoplePC toolbar has a separate pop up blocker, so you may have to make sure you don't have a secondary blocker running with whichever ISP software you may be using.
