About the only thing you can go by on the Gibson D is the serial number on the engine. Give me the serial number and I will try to get you a year Thanks Mike

The data sheet that I have for Wisc. Engines show your engine to be a 1948 model. Gibsons do have a serial number stamped on the frame rail of some but according to the info that I have you can"t date the year model of them by that number. The only way to date them is by the serial number of the engine. If the engine was ever changed it would cause a problem as to dating the year of the tractor. I would say your tractor is probably a 1948 model. If I can help in any other way just let me know. Mike

On my Super D the serial no. is on top of the right hand frame rail.
