I Have aquired an old TOWMOTOR model # LT-72, serial# 724920, engine# 209-15190, and I am looking for any info on this unit. I am maily looking for lifting capacity, year of manufacture, and engine manufacturer. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

Call local cat forklift dealer can get you all the specs you need also can get decal plate you will also need to give them lift height what attatchement tire size they fillout a sheet and send it back to cat to get line card and go to engeniring to do specs for you it takes about 2 months to get one . good luck

Most old towmotor's used Continental engines. By law and this has been true for probably the last 40-50 years there needs to be a plate on that fork lift that gives the capacity of that lift truck. OSHA requires that data plate or they can tell you to park it and not use it, but that doesn't mean that plate could have been removed. Is this a 4 or 6 cylinder and where is the distributor located? FYI Towmotor is now Catr lift truck in case you didn't know. Questions?

It is a six cylinder, I was aware that cat bought towmotor. I"ve had them in the past. However, this one predates them. I think the dist. is towards the center of the motor. The capacity plate is unreadable. Thanks for the info,

I wonder if that Continental is a 209. I am sure it is an F600 series. How about a picture?
