I just acquired a ISEKI TS1910. When I push the clutch in and try to put it in gear, it won't go in gear. It just grinds. It's like the clutch isn't disengaging the flywheel. Could it just be worn out? It's been sitting for 2 years. Could the clutch be froze up? Thanks for any help. I think I could change out the clutch if it's bad.

put it in gear, hold the clutch down, see if it will start. may be enough to break it loose.

Tried the starting in gear with the clutch down. I also hooked it to a tree with a chain and managed to put it in low gear. I clamped the clutch down with a C clamp.I jerked it pretty good as the wheels spun into the dirt. I did this five or six times. It still won"t break loose. Could it be stuck this bad? Do you think the clutch could be messed up inside and I need to split the case? I don"t know the history on this tractor other than it sat in the field for 1 1/2 years.

Unless you have reason to believe the clutch has been destroyed, it is likely just rusted to the flywheel and/or pressure plate.

Try blocking the pedal down for a few days.

If that doesn't help it let go, do a whole site search on this site for "stuck clutch". I'm sure you'll get quite a few "hits" on how folks have jarred clutches loose on other tractors, and I would think your Iseki clutch would be similar to other brands people have had trouble with.
