Still trying to solve my shifter gear problem. The shifter with fork looks good with no wear or broken parts. The problem all started with shifter stuck in Reverse but tractor would not reverse. Its like the shifter rode over the rail but rail did not engage in Reverse I took shifter out and worked lst and reverse rail and after moving the rail to first the rail started moving freely. Now after putting shifter back and shifting to other gears it acts like two gears are engaged with tractor not moving but acting like gears are stuck together.Hate to take cover off Really big job....

johns right either you didn't line up the forks or the other idea is, and most likely, you might have a bent fork-- it will allow it to go into two gears at once usually 1st an rev. , my opinion only

Does your shifter look like this? They get worn off and need to be built up to look like this one.

Just take the cover off so you can see what is going on in there. Not that big of a job. Pull the fuel tank so you have extra room and get after it. I'd dump a little diesel around the bolts on the top cover to try and loosen them up. They have a tendancy of getting water in them and becoming a pain. Best of luck.
