Although finaly the white house did something constructive FINALY (vise president shooting a attorney and all) our small antique club, our town with their 4th of july celebration, friends with plowing days etc. are all under the crunch. We probably will be sutting down if the rates increse at the present curve they are. I know there are lots of places to get hurt, I wonder how we get as lucky as we are with accidents. So I wonder what insurance Co. some of your clubs use so we can research and find a decent rate. Also if anyone was real disatisfied with theirs, not for price, but for a claim. I should probably ask to avoid the coments as to why the rates are high as the net would shut down from a overload and all if we comented on the why's. And yes I just answered my own question as to why the rates are high. So if you would all focus on the companies you use and a general idea what they cover. Thanks everyone. Dave NE IA

Its a necessary evil. I got sued at work a few years ago (shop teacher). Winning the suit cost the ins company $300,000.

We use K&K insurance out of Ft. Wayne IN. They are not cheap, but they are probably the best. Fairs and special events are their specialty. You have to have a local company that works with them. Our liability insurance will cost around $12,000 this year on a permanent grounds with 3 weekend events. We have several riders that also increase out rate, but we feel that they are worth it.
