A little closing out sale for wannabe and weekend farmers.
They farmed 28K acres before they and perhaps the bankers decided enough was enough.

There's a bit of artillery there. Fourteen 4WD's and big ones too plus cats and everything else to go with it. Kind of blows the mind doesn't it. Well the land will get divided up between a few other already big farmers and things just get bigger again.

With that many motorized rigs most of us could live right well on the payroll they must have had. Tractors, combines, everything else, good grief, it's kinda hard to comprehend the dollars involved in that kind of operation. Harley

I agree, a bit "iron poor" or poor from iron however you want to put it. Only thing in check as far as Im concerned is the number of combines for that many acres. Oh well, its not my operation so none of my concern I guess.

That kind of blows the mind!! I live 2 1/2 hours SE of there and never knew of such an operation!! Their choice of sale date seems a bit early for the equipment (could be covered in snow). It's their worry and none of mine. I bet a lot of that land doesn't find an owner this year, or a renter either.

you'd be surprised how many want that kind of place. My brother just retired and sold a large farm, $2.5 million, listed on Thursday and sold by Tuesday of the next week. Surprised him too.
