I rescently got out of the Air Force and got an old garden tractor to give to my girlfriend who's been with me through thick and thin for Valentines day so she can compete in the tractor pulls with her own tractor against my dad and I with our Power Kings. The problem is I have no idea what it is. It has a frame like an old Ottawa mule 15A tractor, but I have had no success on the web with anything that looks like it. I know it has a Wisconson AEN 8.2hp @3600rpm, all cast iron block, tranny and gearcase. The motor SN is:2443453 and I believe these motors were built between 1949 and 1957. I have a lot of pictures ready to send if anyone wants to help me and my girl, my email address is: chancegassett03@aol.com. I dont know how to upload pictures to this posting to help, but please, if you are interested, please email me.
-Thank you

Check Power King/Jim Dandy/Economy- name changes on same basic tractor. 24 inch rear wheels and small car transmission. Made in Wisconsin slightly offset steering column. RN

If you can't post the picture, email it to me, and I'll post it.

Also, I just got a 1952 copy of the Tractor Field Book, which has a lot of old garden tractors in it. If your's is from that era, it may be pictured in the book.

It appears (to me) to be somewhat newer than what you were speculating in your post. I hope someome recognizes it. I do not.

They sure don't make them like that anymore! That looks rock solid.

Thanks everyone for the all the replies so far. I'll try to dig a little deeper with the information everyone has sent. I have a couple of Power Kings and the tractors share a lot of similarities allthough I haven't found anything through the PK websites that shows andything like it. I also looked at some Gibson sites and there seem to be a lol of similarities there too. I was looking at it this morning and I realized that there are home-made adapters on the rear-end to fit larger rims. Bye the way, Thanks Bob for getting the pics up here.
