I have cleaned the tank, new filters, new injection pump, new thumb pump, new injectors and tips. I can sit out hay for a week and them after about two rolls it smothers out like it has run out of fuel. I have spent a fortune on this tractor. Has any one got any ideas for me. I like the old tractor it has pleanty of power for me when it is running right.

Try using it with the fuel cap loose just in case the vent is plugged. If the vent is plugged it would run until there is enough suction in the tank that the lift pump can't suck fuel out of it anymore. I've never had this happen on diesel engine but I have on a gas engine.

i worked for massey back in the 70s back when they were haveing union troubles and there was a lot of sabatoge and we found a lot of tractors with rubber band in the fuel lines that when they get warm they will expand clean ALL fuel lines and ELBOS not with just air but run a wire trought them. also if you have any rubber lines any place in the system change them even if they look good some rubber dose not like diesal fuel and will get soft on the in side and suck shut. check your air cleaner and the rubber hoses in that system also whey to can fall apart on the in side

Is it getting air? May be a stupid question but it does have to have air to run.
Just wondering.
