Bobcat 371 Braking on Incline Question

I'm in the process of buying a Bobcat 371 and am wondering how good it will work on inclines as far as braking is concerned. I know the newer skidloaders use the hydrostatic pumps and motors to slow and stop the machine, would an older unit like the 371 do the same?

It's going to be primarily for barn cleaning, but may get some road maintenance duties as well, which would mean operating on some inclines.

Any pointers for using/maintaining a 371? I'm paying $500 and it seems to be in decent running/working condition. Thanks for the help.

My 610 Bobcat has no brakes at all. I try to let the engine power it down hills to limit the speed.

If you want to stop your 610 on a hill, will putting the controls in neutral bring it to a stop? Or will it just freewheel? Thanks for the reply.
