Eric, you are not alone, I worked on a couple of Walbros last season, somewhat new Sears Poulan saw, ran super when we first got it, then blaaaa, really frustrating, i took it apart a couple times and cleaned the carb, found a screen in there tends to film over with sediment, and the diaphram doesnt awlays have to look bad to be bad, use a dental pick and a little compressed air, and some carb cleaner, try not to loose the little parts. I bought a nice Weedeater for 10 bucks, and it had the same problem....but I fixed it. It won't hurt to get a new spark plug, afterall it's a darned 2 cycle!
