Did Waukesha Motor co. make motors for cars or
trucks? I have four blueprints of the motor and
one has automotive engines on it.Early thirties

Waukesha made engines for Lord-only-knows what-all: many trucks incl some of the "assembled" trucks, tractors, generators, light and heavy industrial stationary units, all kinds of const eqpmt, oilfield, marine...I've got a manual for a 7000 (seven thousand) cubic inch V12...they show up in a 1924 piston catalog but started much earlier, and are now part of Dresser and still at it...but can't say if any went into cars, but could easily have in some of the "assembled " cars...

Military trucks from WWI used 4 cyl Waukesha engines. I've got one from 1918. They were still making 6 cyl engines for trucks in the 50's at least. I've seen them in Michigan(Clark)cranes.

When I was a teen ager, many many years ago I used to work for some of the neighbors when dad didn't need me at home. One guy that I sometimes worked for had a 1929 International truck. It had a Waukesha engine, 3 speed transmission, and 2 speed rear end and was designated as a 6-speed special. I put a lot of miles on that old Binder.

What time frame are you talking about? They were used in some trucks. What model engines are these prints of. The Waukesha historical Society may be interested as well or may be a good contact. J.

There are four of the blueprints. The oldest is
1925 I think. Hard to read the date. One is 1932
and two 1936's, but different dates. Don't say
what engine, but look like 6 cylinders.1932 has
model:6-125 4 3/8x 5 1/8. Waukeha motor co.
