Just saw this tractor on ebay, Item #7575304851. Farmall f-14. I do a lot of looking on ebay at tractors and such and have seen quite a few of these f-14's before but never one with rims on the rear like this. Kinda funny star shape to them. Hope one of you guys can tell me more about them. Thanks. Mike.

Tires are high for those and the rims are near impossible to find used, let alone new. Those look to be in good shape.

I enjoy looking at the old tractors, but don't know much about them. In the one pic that shows the right side of the tractor there is a rod that runs from the dash up along the hood to the upper corner of the radiator. What is that?

I believe that rod is to operate the radiator shutters.

That rod screws in and out to adjust the radiator shutters for heat control.

I'm gonna have to start googling the thermostat stuff and learn some more about this. Did not realize or I guess took it for granted that they would have invented the thermostat along with the engine. Thanks for the replies.

The shutters were used for dual fuel tractors to heat them up before switching to kerosene or distillate.

I am in the process of restoring one of those with the 40 inch rims. Mine is a 1939 model. I haven"t seen to many of those with that type of cast wheel. Pretty spendy tires too!!
