can exhaust manifold leak cause tractor not to run correctly

Depends where it is cracked. If the crack will allow exhaust gas into the intake portion, it will run rough.

Is the manifold a common exhaust/intake casting?

The sound coming out of the leaky manifold might make the engine sound like it's running rough. Fix that leak and I bet things will sound better. Merry Christmas.

not usually,but an intake leak can sure mess things up
