Depends some if it's an "S" or and "N" engine. 45 injectors would make about 90HP at 1800 rpms. 70 injectors at 2300rpms would make about 170HP.

You mean 71 series. Depending on equipment and rpm,a non turbo 71 will make about 40 hp per hole,or 160 hp for a 4-71.

Hi,
Seems like it all depends, (on version, rpm, etc.). The early -71's were 2 valve, later with 4 valves, then with turbo. The earlier versions made about 25+/- hp/cylinder, depending on the rpm the hp was measured. I have an old 2 valve 3-71 that states "65 hp @ 1600 rpm" on a plate on the engine. I think it makes 75-80+ at closer to 2000 rpm. The turbo version w/4 valves is listed at 113 hp, or about 38 hp/cylinder, likely measured at ~2100 rpm. Changing the injectors to higher volume could alter any of this of course.
