Just wondering if there is a fuse some where for the 4+4 if it does not work .The light comes on but the front axels do not work .year is 93 with push button 4+4 thanks

It"s proubly your shift motor on the tranfer case.Mine needs one about every 2 yrs.They get dirty and rusty and won"t shift.It"s a easy fix.Unplug it and pull it off.Take the end off and look in it.You will see the problem if that is what it is.Sometimes you can clean it and it will run ,but most of the time it will needed replaced.$125.00 at Autozone.Go to www.rangerpowersports.com.Do a search on shift motors.They discuss this a lot.If this isn"t the problem then you will have to look deeper.But check the shift motor first.Usually the problem...Good luck... idontno

idontno; Not trying to be a smart-alec,but the original post says the 4WD light comes on.If the t-case motor was innop.,this wouldn't be the case...regards~brad

bob g ny is right.One of your front hubs are broken on the inside.I know they say it's "shift on the fly",but they break hubs.If you shift into 4WD w/vehicle stopped,you can eliminate the problem.~brad

Could be the shift motor is bound up. I had the same prblem on a '91 Bronco. Easy fix, email for more info. Pete

one of your front hubs are broken. in those years ford used a plastic part that there are three little plastic teeth on. They break and the axle wont engage.

check under the hood in the fuse block there should be one
