I tried to post this a couple days ago but I think it went astray. Ageless Iron finally came out with my column about very special shop items I asked you guys about a good year ago. Now I am being told there's no such thing as muffler bearing grease. Or metric hammers. Or prop wash by the gallon. I am waiting for an apology. And make it metric.

The best we used to use is the good ol kinipler pin fell out and caused all that to happen. Including the muffler bearing and anything else you wanted to tell them was wrong.

Fellas fellas, I cannot believe that none of y'all use that new penetrant and carpet stainer K9P. It has a distinctive smell. Especially useful on tires. Lets ya know which side was down last time.

I have noticed that the price of muzzle blast is down this year as compared to last....

i lost my can of compression when i dropped my pocket at the submarine races.turned around twice,there it was GONE!The more i looked,the more it was gone!it's so cold that i can hear the ki-ki bird saying ki-ki-ki-crist it's cold.hi i'm shy,when i was born,i was so ugly,the doctor slapped everybody!

It isn't possible to run an efficent shop with out having on hand some grinding oil and some gap rods for welding. Every shop apprentice should know how find these items!!!

At a recent auction I picked up several NOS containers of generator smoke. I got outbid on the can of magneto magic, or whatever that stuff is called.

Ol` Rog, At the surplus store I picked up 100 Meters of Flight line that I stretched to 120 meters with my Safety Wire Stretcher and drag logs with it now. After I cleaned it with Propwash, I rebuilt the flapper valve to the tenuculator on my Essex Tridirectional and lubed it with the Muffler Bearing Grease sitting on one of my benches. After getting it back together I fine tuned it with my Metric Hammer and cleaned it with the extra PSI that was on the Steam Table. What do you mean that you found there is no such thing? Now if only I could find a good application for the Hogwash that was right there in front of me.

I didnt find the left handed pipe wrench until I was done but tightened up on the Flapper Valve to the Teneculator with it when I figured out how to use it. Man, those things are awkward ! The LHPW that is.

In today's new Navy I hear that you need 100 meters of flight line to catch the mail buoy off the fan tail.

Need to tie that "new" type flight line off with your metric hammer. If no metric hammer as is usually the case you can always grab Vise-Grips and an adjustable wrench!

Also heard tell that the only way to measure a metric hammer is to ask it.

If the reply sounds French it is probably metric,
if it's English it'll be Imperial
if it's American it'll be confused

I just used up all my PSI's to change the air in my tires to winter air, the humidity in the summer air that was in them was crystalizing and chewing out the inside of my tires.

Didn't get in on this discussion until Mon morning but I am amazed. Anyone who takes time to watch cogressional hearings should have known:

Hogwash is in abundant supply, a by-product of big corporate oil justifying the high cost of gasoline, diesel and heating oil. You can get it at rock-bottom prices now in 55 gal drums or have it delivered bulk to your tanks on the place. However, it is a product that seldom results in efficient function of any use to which you put it. Hoever, it is guaranteed to elevate the temper and significantly shorten the patience and tolerance of any who use the product.
