cornfarmer,IaGary thanks for your input. Might go look at(4hrs. away)a IH 484 diesel with 2250 loader, shows 1200hrs. he's not sure if that is right. Photos look good, just the paint is faded. I was told the price is a little high-asking $9000. Another tractor I was considering is a 2000 Long 2640 4x4 with loader, 500hrs asking $12500. I've heard their no good or their good-plan on keeping it because you can't sell them. Have another opinion?

The 2250 is a quick-tach loader. They were especially neat in that they became their own stand when you take the loader off. Pull the 2 pins that hold the loader on and start to back up.As the loader slides forward, operate the hydraulic lever that normally raises the loader, and the front of the frame rotates down and becomes the loader stand. (the hydraulic hoses are extra long to allow for this) They are a great loader.

Larry most all brands of loaders where ordered with the proper backets to fit whatever tractor you ordered it to fit. Example if you ordered a great bend loader to fit a Farmall 560 it came with the backets to fit a 560. The same loader could be ordered to fit a 880 oliver with a different set of brackets. So your great bend loader could fit most any tractor depending on what it was ordered to fit on.
