We had a flat tire on a John Deere 310 that has been sitting. We need to know how to inflate the tire again because the seal around the tire is broken and we can't get it to hold any air....

Please help

If it's a backhoe use outrigger pick tire up off ground dis mount 1 side of tire since baead already busted loose and install a tube , I have done this many times on a service calls and this is the simplist way to solve problem . check for anything that will poke hole in tube first before installing in tire.

First be sure to jack up tractor to let tire at least try to take on the normal shape. Then it is also easier to hold the tire to the bead and make sure to use a soap sulution to aid in the bead sliding onte the rim. Hope this helps

There are a number of things you can do.The first is to remove the valve core so as much air as possible can get in the stem.If it is a small tire you may be able to use a motorcycle strap to spread the tire, but be ready to get it off if the tire seals. You could also install a tube in the tire and not have to worry about it happening again.IF the wheel is off the tractor, sometimes it can be blocked up underneath so the bead will close off the gap and get to seal that way.You could borrow a Bead Cheta tank and reseal it that way. There is also a vegetable grease, bead sealer, from Frey that can be packed around the rim to seal it off long enough for the bead to seal.It works but is messy to use.The last and a very dangerous way is to squirt some either in the tire and then throw a match into the either.I have never seen that nmethod to seal.Howeever the Bead Cheta is the safest and easy way to do it.Just a big blast of air that is shot into the tire and it forces the sidewall to seal on the rim.
