I acquired a Massey Harris Pony and am wondering about value. Approx. what would a Pony have sold for in 2002? Condition: Good Sheet metal; starts & runs well; 3PTH is welded; Paint is completely faded; Tires are old; pully is missing; no attachments. Can anyone offer price range??
THX

I recently purchased a loader for my Massey Harris Pony. Do you know where I can purchase a manual for the loader?

If I read your question right, you are asking value in 2002? I bought my `51 Pony in 2002, paid $2300. I thought that was high, but I really wanted it :) Anyway, it ran pretty nice, looked decent (was repainted with rattle cans), has hydraulic lift, new tires all around, and had a really nice Woods L59 belly mower. Only thing really wrong, was that the right brake didn"t work at all. After tearing it down, I found the drum lock bolt had loosened, and the drum had moved over toward the differential. She`s all in pieces now, as I`ve been redoing it for the past year I noticed that fairly rough ones now seem to be bringing close to $2000, don`t know why .....Stan

I bought one in 2002 with new rubber, mounted disk, plow, cultivator, and blade for $1500. Motor did end up needing an overhaul due to lots of blowby. I still feel I did good in the purchase.
Yours, well the 3pt is not from the factory, it's homemade. Needs paint and tires. About $800 for that if you do the work yourself. Pulley/PTO units for ponies sell for around $250-300 for a working unit. Your tractor needs at least $1100 worth of items to get it to most people's standards. As is, I'd say the value is $750. That is only my opinion though. Others may see it in a different perspective.

Just seen a couple rough ones on Ebay the other day, both were bid close to 2k. Of course, I just checked (so I could post item numbers), and they must have already ended. Seems like lately, the Pony`s and Farmall Cubs are getting expensive. ...Stan
