Sounds like you have a good tractor there. It is one of those tractors that I would love to add to my collection. The others being the d17 series 4 diesel that we used to own (which is gonna be a slim chance) and a nice D21 to go along side with my 7000. Whatever you do, keep ahold of her. I have a feeling that if you were to sell her, you would regret it and any kids or relatives you have will not be happy (I am still not happy about our D17 IV since my dad sold it a few years ago lol). Sounds like you have her about back to her original beauty. She deserves every bit of it.

You might get more response over on the Allis forum or the unofficial ac forum.....I have two of them. They were the first farm tractor to have a turbo on them and the rest of the colors laughed at them! Now it is hard to buy a modern diesel engine without a turbo! The D19 is a great tractor when running right, they were prone to blowing head gaskets if not retorqued after overhaul. I haven't had that problem. The old Buda diesel heads are also a weak spot and will develop cracks and possible water leaks if not warmed up and cooled down properly.

I think they are a neat tractor and undervalued for the power and 'thrill factor' they provide.

Where are you located? I fired up the D19 (with 15.5 x 38 rears- other one has 18.4 x 34's) this week to plow a couple of acres for a neighbor before the frost set in.....sure puts a smile on your face hearing that turbo kick in as the plow sinks in the ground! Does yours have a factory 3 pt hitch or the snap coupler? I've got one of each, one with 3pt has optional live front pump and has real fast live hydraulics.
