Hello, I just purchased a Bobcat 600 which was used on a farm. I have been going through it fixing some of the makeshift repairs over the years. When I got to the oil pressure gauge it was not working and looked rusty. Long story short the gauge was rusted out and the line was also rusted in half. The odd part is that no oil is leaking out of the line? It runs fine and quiet. The oil line does look like someone rerouted it as it comes up next to the floorboard which looks non-stock to me. It has a Wisconsin V4. The line does not go to the engine, so could it perhaps be hooked up to something else? Really confused and do not have my manuals yet. I have pictures if that helps... Thanks,
Scott

Jim, thanks for your reply! I'm not sure what the oil gauge was hooked up to, but it certainly is not the engine! Whatever it is it's right under the jackshaft opposite the larger pulley. Perhaps other engine options had an oil pump driven off the pulley and my engine is not original.

Aloha, If it is a high pressure gauge, maybe they had it hooked up to the hydraulics.

I am not that familiar with the Bobcat skid loader, but if it is anything like my case SL,the guage reads hydraulic filter restriction. The filter is on the inlet side of the hyd pump, and the guage connected between the filter and pump tells when restriction is too high and the filter should be replaced. The correct guage should be marked in inches of Vacuum. The wisconsin engines rarely have an oil pressure guage, they are splash oiled with the oil pump suppling oil to the splash nozzles at only a few psi.
