Doug in IL has found his Grandfathers tractor! He came by and picked it up today. It doesn't look like much but it is mostly complete. He'll need a set of wheels and a manifold so if any of you have those items taking up space let us know! The tractor was unique enough he was able to identify it. I know he is happy and it never fails to get me excited when things like this happen. He had a 31 U that "may" be my grandfaters tractor too. I hope so, but I will more than likely never know for sure. Regardless there are at least two, very happy Old Iron men today.

This 31 U Doug had came from close enough to here that it may be my Grandfathers. Even if not I am happy to have it. Miles (my pup)likes it too.

The odds of that ever happening have to be something like one in a million. Way too cool.

We had a trailer stolen from us. Some 12 years later while a family member was going to a Square dance in another state made a wrong turn and when they pulled in to a drive way to turn around, our trailer was sitting right in front of them. We got it back.

Bill you are just plain shot plumb full of luck. I'm sure glad for you and Doug too. I'd tell you about my day, but there just isn't enough time. Just let it suffice to say that I was on the phone to Chadron, Nebraska, Steel Wheel Ranch, Tractor Barn in Springfield, every web site I could find trying to run down a spindle for a Norden front end so I can feed with the tractor. Right now mine is buried about 4 inches deep in the driveway with a bale of hay on the loader and not NEAR close enough to the shop. Oh well, ifn it was easy, everybody would be doing it. Great to see you and the dorgy. The cat still ok? Harley

Na, not hard up for parts, just seeing if he had tore anything off the top of any of his tractors that I could use on mine. Insert chuckle here. Hope nobody was in that shltter when it took the dump. Harley

No injuries, but due to the severity and disruption of natural events the damage sparked widespread looting. :? )
