I had the honor of attending one of the best tractor shows this past weekend i've ever been to.

In Cumming, Ga at the cumming fairgrounds.

The city of cumming and surrounding county is home to 35 operational steam engines, more than thirty are steam tractors, not to mention the countless antique tractors, hit and miss engines, and other equipment at the show.

Exhibits included tractors and steam engines running the saw mill, shingle mill, bakers fan, threshers, and cotton gin.

They have the show annually the second weekend in November, and just to have started in 2001, it is well on its way to being one of the biggest shows in the southeast, if not the country. no other single county in the united states is home to more steam engines.

The show is sponsered by the cumming antique power association, the show has great facilities and lots of public support. i encourage anyone who can to attend next year.

I was fortunate enough to get to the Cumming show also. Wow, what a collection of steam traction engines! Most of them were fired up and the cloud of smoke produced by all of them was enough to make you choke. One was pulling a wagon of people, and another was powering the sawmill. There were lots of antique gas tractors also, and there must have been a few hundred hit & miss engines. Perfect weather too. Next year I will definitely take the kids.

Too bad when two good shows occur on the same weekend in adjoining states.

I'm from Forsyth county originally, but i'm in college at ABAC in Tifton now.

Those are some great pics, you've got a picture of my little allis-chalmers in pic 75, my buddy's 420 was in pic 69, and another friend of mine has an engine in pic 123.

I spent most of the time on my original 720 diesel that i had the privilege of running the sawmill with on friday.
