Hi Guys,

Spent the last couple of days moving big round hay bales, old trees, old corral materials, dirt, etc. all around the farm with this old DuAl loader.

I know they are supposed to be a heavier, better outfit and it works well enough, I guess, but I'd trade it in a heartbeat fer another little F-11 or even a cabled F-10 Farmhand.

Guess old habits are just hard to break; the thing just feels "unnatural" to me fer some darned reason. :>(

Before you swap that thing off, could you take (and post) some pics of the grapple set up, and the way it's attached? I've got an old IH 504 with plenty of snort and a Bush Hog loader, and I think it would be a dandy candidate for a blackberry and brush clearing clearing machine.

Hi Guy,

Serious as a heart attack. Where are you? Email is open and I can send you all the pictures you want of this loader.

The loader works just fine, it is just that I have a terrible "mind-set" against DuAl. Probably 'cause I am not used to 'em. :>)

Coulda used that grapple today. Wind took the porta potty the hanger constuction guys were using and rolled it down the ramp.... My bucket required I wrap a chain around the jewel to right it. Wish I would have had a good frog suit, a grapple or a hired hand....

I gotta tell ya, Allan, that grapple is the bomb! I wish I had one half that stout on my F11. Maybe I'll get a few bars welded on my one of the days and stiffen it up a little...

I got the seals put in this weekend. It took two days but all told only about 3 hours, most of that time was standing around looking at it thinking, "this has got to be more complicated..." : -) My brother stopped by and lent a hand on pulling the cylinder out. I still can't believe how simple it was. It'll be a 20 minute job next time...yea, right!

Well I gotta tell ya, I wish I would have had that tractor here this morning. Got two loads of 1505 lb. 5x6 grass hay bales and they about worked the old M to death. Got almost done and the right spindle took a dump on the front end. Took it apart and will have to do some cutting, grinding, welding, cussing, looking, admiring, fitting and a whole bunch of other stuff before it's strong enough to use again. The left one went two weeks ago and I fixed it, so I know I can, it's just taking the day off to do it. My own fault though. Don't think those poor little M's were quite made for that kind of lifting, but with enough steel hanging off the back, they do alright. Later, Harley

You hit the nail on the head.

That's exactly why I bought the tired old thing; to give the little H a bit of breathin' room.

Guess I just have to get used to it. Just not able to judge that bucket/grapple affair on the DuAl yet. Visibility is far better with the Farmhand loaders to my mind.

Allan;

Worked for a feller one time that had a Duall on a Super M. Didnt care for it plus I was used to the F10 Farmhand on the TE20.
