Last week another tractor appeared at my dads place..... An international 1086..... I asked him about it..... .and he said..... .."well, these old guys are retiring, and I thought I'd better keep good equipment because I don't want to."..... .He is 90 and planning for next years crop . Hope I feel that good in 50 years.
Enjoy your day everyone!

Tom,

Your dad is one smart cookie. Always gotta keep looking ahead, 'cause "If you stop, you drop", I always say.

I ran into a 93-year-old fella one time at a dance and when I asked him if he was having a good time, he said, "Well yeah, but there sure seems to be a lot of old people here". :>)

My grandfather decided to (retire) after many many years of being our BOSS here at the farm, this was 11 years ago. He retired for 1 week, he loafed at the house for those few days and couldnt stand not knowing everything we were doing. My mom put it in thr local paper that week he was retiring and we were going to have a little party for him, boy did he get p*ssed. Thats what made him come right back the next monday and start telling us what tractor needed what and everything else. Actually things run pretty smooth having one boss and im glad he is able to do it.
