I am looking at a 1270 Case tractor in Indiana and was wondering what a good estimate of the shipping cost would be to Central Texas? Any ideas would be great. Thanks, Ricky

all depends on if you have a place to unload off of a drop deck and the place loading it has a place to on load. if you can get a tractor off of a drop deck more opportunities lower price.

Find a company and you may get a LTL rate that means less than load ,they are always looking to fill up unused space on a drop deck.

I think you'd be looking at $1.50 to $2.00 per loaded mile. $1.50 would be cheap, I don't know any trucker that would haul for less than that with diesel at over $3.00 per gallon. $2.00 per loaded mile is more likely what you'll have to pay.

I agree, minimum $2.00 a mile. You may be able to share a ride and cut the cost down somewhat.
