not for long. Enjoy it while it lasts. When the real cold weather hits, the demand for heating oil (which is basically the same as No. 2 Diesel) will go way up, and so will the prices, knowing the oil companies' penchant for opportunistic price gouging.

Isn't it sad that we are happy when gas and diesel is under $3.00.

Yep,

Ain't it the truth!

Bump 'er up a buck and a half, then wait a month, lower it 25 cents and the populus jumps fer joy and is happy; and we've just given ourselves a $1.25 per gallon raise.

Same old routine over again,

Allan

A big chunk of Gulf of Mexico production came back on line over the weekend. Still mild weather in the NorthEast, Nat gas is going into storage. Gasoling stocks are building due to the rationing effect of high prices.

A big if will be how the delayed Preventive Maintenance will impact refinery uptime/capacity. Much maintenance was postponed till after the heating season next spring.
