I heard a story that a farmer in York County was combining soy beans and his combine exploded. The farmer was unhurt, probablly had to change pants, and the State Fire Marshall Office had ruled that it was caused by grain dust inside the combine and some sort of spark set it off. Don"t know any more then that.

Grain dust explosions have completely flattened some storage facilities. Never heard of a combine blowing up because of it but all it would take is for a bearing to fail and throw some sparks.
