I have recently purchased a JD 3020 Diesel Tractor and it has a leak at the bottom of the tank. I'm searching for a replacement tank hopefully manufactured from Plastic as a replacement. I would rather purchase a new tank than mend this one to prevent any possible near future repairs from another spot getting a hole. Does anyone know where I can get a "NEW" tank either plastic or metal?
Thanks Tim

My experience with JB Weld.....Patched the diesel tank on the Gleaner combine ...6-7-8- years ago, still holding. Patched the gas tank on the Ford F 150 last year---leaks after a few months.

Yeah,
That is what most people are telling me to do; however, until you know what you must do in order to get the tank out - you don"t appreciate not having to do it twice. Not willing to take that chance. Appreciate your comments though - they attest to the fact that sometimes a patch can be a fix however for the most part my experience is that a patch is just that "a patch". It"ll get you by for a bit but you"ll be patching again, again, again.
Thanks, Tim
