I need to know the ring gap for a Techumse hh100. It has a 3.312" bore...

According to Chilton's Small Engine Repair Manual, .007 to .020.

Here's a link to a treatise on fitting piston rings.

He is suggesting between 0.003" and 0.008" per inch of cylinder bore, so for a 3.312" bore, the range would be .0099" to .026".

If no one posts the factory spec's for your engine, I'll look it up and post it tomorrow.

Can't really help you but so far I don't do more then look at them. Calabated eyes LOL if the gap looks good to me I go with it. If I remember right it should be something like .005 but thats a guess. Guess its one of those thing you learn from doing to many engine rebuilds.
