can someone give a little technical explanation of why my AD3 152 won"t start below 40 degrees (besides the fact it has 8000+ hrs)Starts on the first revolution and runs fine 45 degrees and up.

Gas or diesel? How much did the cranking rpms drop when cranking below 45F? What is the voltage measured between the starter's cast body and the heavy brass post into the motor it's self when cranking? Winter or summer fuel? What grade of oil?

Sorry for the late return...I purchased and installed a new water circulation heater. Pluged it in for 60 minutes at 35 degrees and she starts right up. to answer your questions:(before new heater)
-AD3-152 is diesel
-cranking RPM seems the same at any temp
-Don't know the voltage at starter
-15W 45
