Hi Folks, yes that was me for sure. Went down 3 weeks last night and taken by ambulance to the hospital when my heart stopped 3 different times and when I got to the e.r. room I went flat line for 34 seconds. No activity at all, no pulse, wife thought it was goodbye and then my heart started by itself again. Rushed into surgery and put in pacemaker and that should keep me out of the deep hole. No solid food for almost 6 days and flat on my back in ICU. Bout went stir crazy but kept thinking of all the tractor projects I want to do yet. I'm still quite weak but am starting to work some on the job every day and even got some time in on the tractors Sat. I praise God for sparing my life and thank many of you who sent prayers and encouragement and told me I must have a few more Farmalls to save yet. Had the best heart specialists working on this deal but they still have no answers why. Never been in the hospital a day in my 55 years and no warnings AT ALL. Said I look 25 inside. Didn't comment on how old I looked outside. So I will trust my little friend under my collar bone and see what life holds next. Thanks Migraine

I had a friend who had two kinds of heart machines implanted. Someone asked him about driving on the highway, after having heart surgeries. He quickly replied "Don"t worry about ME, you"re the one to worry about. If MY heart stops, the implants keep me going.....If YOUR heart stops IT"S ALL OVER!!!

Glad you're doing fine. I spent some time in an ICU and I'd rather be shovelin' shoulder high manure then being in the hospital. But it sounds like they've got you all wired up and you're on the road to recovery, so just follow orders and you'll soon be back to your tractors!

Glad to hear your okay, Migraine! Done that myself! 3 stints a a double by-pass at 55 is a ball of fun too, but, now after a year later, feeling just about the same as before except no more smokes! Keep doing what they tell ya and you'll be back at 'er in no time!

Really Really OT in reply to migraine, 10-25-2005 07:07:08
Soo.. Really OT here. When my mother flatlined at 47 she spoke to her grandmother and other relatives. A friend said he saw close old friends. Anything like that for you? Restored Diesel 450s and 1266 High-Clears etc? Just curious. Oh! And I found an origional set of rear Steel for my Waukesha Migrain.

Glad you are skootin on your own again!

Keep up the good work.
Thats what that high priced bunch of chips is for. Good old medicare has approved their use in a lot more people that "MIGHT" need them. As I sit here typing, I am getting a palpitation or two. I keep right on doing life and leave the worry to my ICD. The longer you have it, the more you will trust it.

My wife had Her aorta valve replaced last Nov. Then in Feb She got a pacemaker....Wow, did that ever make a difference!!! I'v asked Her heart specialist to turn it down a few notches as She is getting harder and harder for me to catch!

Glad to hear your still with us Migraine, you'll be back in the race in no time!! Larry NE IL
