1. under battery- 821-DS, 36908

8-Four-wheel adjustable axle w/172 cu. in. engine
2-Four-speed transmission w/o PTO or hydraulic lift
1-Series designation, 1958 to 1962
D-Diesel engine
S- do not know what s is for but think it was used on tractors that had the Sherman aux trans installed at the factory.
36908-serial #; makes it a 1958 Some can tell you what month but not me.

2. on axle- C128
this axle was made on March 12,1958

Those other #'s are just casting #'s

The model would be 821
Normally the 821 would have a 5 speed box but because you probably have the Sherman aux you could only get that with the four speed box.

If you order manuals you need the ones for a 801.

These manuals cover all 801 tractors. 811;821;841;851;861;871;881.

The middle # just tells what trans you have.
