Would anyone know or have any experience with mounting an engine from a '50 Dodge (6 cyl) into a Maseey Harris 44 frame. Are mountings the same and can this work.Thanks,Dan in AB

Not sure howmuch trouble it is but it definatly can be done. Local puller has one around here.6 cylinder Dodge in a 44. If I can get ahold of him I'll see what he says about it.

The early 101 M-H tractors used the Chrysler 6 cylinder. You might wantto look at a 101 frame and see if it will bolt to the rear end. What is the matter with the H model Continental/

Dan - I doubt the mountings are the same. The MH 44-6 used a Continental flathead six (F-226) It's a completely different engine from the Chrysler flathead six. And I don't know if the Continental 6 has the same mounting as the "normal" MH OHV 4 cylinder in the 44.

OTOH it probably would not be too difficult to adapt the Chrysler engine. And it would make for a unique and smooth-running 44!
