I think there will be alot of diesel pushers on the for sale market next spring.

A bunch of people went out and bought 'em when the Big 3 gave all those deals to unload 'em just befor the fuel increase.....

Think they knew something we did'nt ?

I thought a diesel pusher is a motorhome with a diesel in the rear and yes,you will be able to buy them at steep discounts.

If someone can drop a couple hundred grand in a motorhome fuel price will make little differance. They may travel a little less but they will keep them and still buy new ones. All forms of travel are increasing in cost and if you want to travel alot an RV is a lower priced way in the long run. A diesel powered rv is still cheaper to run than a gas powered one even with the higher diesel price.

I'm not so sure that is the case. Around here I think some are moving to diesel because they are more efficient. I have a small farm about 20 miles out that I like to go to as much as I can. It was getting pretty expensive driving my F150 for transportation so in the spring I went looking for a diesel VW Golf. They were already moving up in price and hard to come by. I bought an older one with a reasonable body and have been driving it as my daily driver and only driving the truck when I need a truck. My fuel bill has gone from $200-$300 per week down to $50-$70 per week. Not as nice a ride but I know why I'm doing it. Just think, I can buy another tractor every month or two. My son has a F350 with the 6L diesel and gets 24-25 miles/Imp.gallon. I've had a 6.9 diesel F250 at one time as well and from my experience even in city driving they're more efficient. A diesel doesn't drop as bad as a gas engine does in city driving.

Yeah, them VW diesels are great. What's more you can buy that kit for 2 grand and just run used veggie oil in it, which is free for the momnent; but probably not for long. Don't you know the kid that invented that will be rich someday.

I'm driving a 97 F-150, with 336,000 on a 5.4. I'm still getting over 17 mpg.

Til I had the misfortune of having my truck totalled by an idiot that lost control in a curve and hit me head on at 60MPH, I had a '87 F150 with the V8 and overdrive. With it I was getting in the 20MPG range. It had just under 400,000 documented miles and was still running strong with no smoke or noticable oil usage, and it was doing it all on a salvage title due to a previous accident. By the way they airlifted the idiot and I walked away with a few bruises. I love Chevys as much as the next red blooded American but I can honstly say this Ford saved my life.
