Allan

Sorry to hear about your wife. I hope everything is going to be OK.

Seems everyone I talk to that has horeses has either had a serious injury or has a close friend who had one. Just re-inforces my opinion that horses belong on someone elses farm, not mine!

John

Hi Scot,

She"s in lots and lots of pain of course; they"ve got her on a steady diet of drugs, but when the medicene wears off, she is hangin" from the walls, as would be expected.

The biggest concern is that darned right lung; it doesn"t wanna jump in there and do it"s duty like it should. We"re just waiting to see what the doc says this morning after he takes another x-ray.

Thanks for all your thoughts, you guys are the greatest!

Allan

You two hang in there Allen...lots of prayers from Texas headed your way. Give the Mrs our best and give the horse half rations a few days so it knows it did wrong.

Allan--

Thinking about you and your wife; those darned horses. We've had horses for 36 years and I still have hip problems from breaking one.

I'll fire up the Super C this afternoon for your wife.

Dave

It'll come around. They had me basically unconscious on mophine for a week when I punctured my lung. Was in the hospital 2 weeks. At the time I didn't realize how serious it was, but it was a bit worrysome when the doctor was reading directions on the machine he was going to hook me up to, and then when he didn't understand it, called a doc in another town. I don't know what the machine was called, but it sucked out the blood and pumped up the lung at the same time. It sounded like a perculator coffee pot. Of course, this was 25 years ago. Maybe they have a drip-type now, lol.

Your Missus is in my thoughts.

Jay

I usually hang out on the "Tales board, but i wanted to jump in here and let you know that we"re praying for your wife. My family"s had quarter horses since the "60"s, and had horses of all kinds since before I was born, so I know about both the pleasure and the pain of the horse business. And since my dad and grand-dad sold Farmalls from 1941 on thru the "60"s, and ran a garage until Dad died in "91, I can relate to anyone with red tractors.

You"ve got a great attitude thru this, Allen...may God watch over you both, and may He ease her pain and discomfort.

Hey Allen,
Thanks for the update. I normally don`t bother with my sloooow dialup connection at home, just use the DSL at the shop, but I have to admit, I logged on twice last night to see if there were any updates as to your wifes condition.
Hang in there and wish her my best.
I think alot of us wish we were closer, so there was more we could do to help out.
Good luck and you guys have my prayers for a speedy recovery. Brokenwrench
