Skidloader mounting plate on tractor loader?

Just a thought, how hard would it be to adapt a newer skidloader mounting plate to an old IH 2250 tractor loader? This would allow attachments to be switched much easier, and give me a wide variety of buckets, bale spears, and pallet forks to choose from, since newer skidloader attachments are universal. The 2250's arms are about 40" apart measuring from the inside, anyone know what brand/model of skidloader that would have a mounting plate that would be easily adapted to my loader? Don't want one with hydraulic quick-tach, just the manual latches.

I did just what you are talking about on my 1755 Oliver(85hp). Call around to equipment dealers and any salvage yard and buy the entire setup off a skidloader. I got mine for $75 from the IH dealer. $75 dollars is a steal. It was a used take off that was too worn for a contractor. Once the latches wear some they will pop open then they use the hydraulic jackhammer. I dont use a jackhammer so it works great. Once I got the piece is was just a matter of fabricating it up to my wider loader arms. It took some work, but I did it. You can buy the skidloader plate new, but they are around $800.

I don't know about commercial models, but any good machine shop should be able to conjure one up for you. He knows the standard measurements for the universal mount, just needs to match it to your loader boom.

They call this a quik attach and it is common on most models you only need the parts and a welder .
