I know some of you are motorcycle fans, and all of you appreciate a skilled craftsman, so it is with a heavy heart that I tell you Gary Woodford, from the Discovery Channel's Southern Steel show, passed away earlier this week. If you've ever seen the show, you know that Gary was about as skilled a person as there was when it came to molding steel. He was a gentle person who was always willing to share what he knew, and never put on airs, even after some fame came to him due to the exposure he got from being on the show. Godspeed, Gary!!

I hope they found him a four leaf clover!
Truly an "old school artist"

I watched the show from time to time and one show Gary went to a antique tractor show and I remeber how he said he loved the old machinery.

I read a little about it in an article posted on the Lynchburg, VA ABC affiliate site. The company is based in Lynchburg, so they are probably accurate. They think he had a heart attack around 3:30 Tuesday morning. He was the heart and soul of that show and that business, and seemed to be a good man. He sure could build those motorcycles.
