I recently acquired an International Harvester tractor with Hough loader. The ID plate says "Model 4 Serial No. BH-15853
Made in U.S.A. by International Harvester Co. Chicago, Illinois
1815 max idle"

Anyone have any information on this for me? Searches by Model 4 and by the serial no haven't been on target, but I have found some similar looking. I think the I9. But my resources are not very expansive either.

I'd really appreciate sites, information, photos, et cetera.

Thanks!!!

Here is a site that you can spend all day in, and still not see it all.

Cowgirl, you have an I4 international, my Brother In Law has one with a Hough Loader on it.

Just a hunch but you might try a search for McCormick W4, or International I4. The max RPM you mention is the same as an H Farmall, which uses the same engine as a W4 or I4, but I don't know if an H could have been equipped with a Hough loader.

Just did a little research, is there another letter in front of the BH? The International I4 serial # starts with IBH, The McCormick W4 starts with WBH, and the Farmall H starts with FBH. Does this help?
